FAQs

General

  1. What is Bungalow Pilates?

Bungalow Pilates is a boutique studio offering low-impact, high-intensity reformer-based workouts. Our 45-minute classes focus on controlled, resistance-based movements designed to strengthen, tone, and improve mobility—all in a warm, inviting space.

  2. How is Bungalow different from traditional pilates?

While inspired by classical reformer Pilates, Bungalow incorporates elements of strength training, mobility, and endurance. Expect a modern, dynamic workout that blends high and low resistance with controlled movements for a full-body burn.

  3. I’ve never done a workout like this before. Can I still come?

Absolutely! Our classes are designed for all fitness levels, and our instructors offer modifications and amplifications so you can tailor the workout to your needs. If you're new to reformer-based workouts, we recommend starting with our Intro Offers to get familiar with the movements.

Before Class

  1. What do I need to bring to class?

Comfortable workout clothing (leggings or shorts, tank tops, or tees). Grip socks are required for safety and stability. If you don’t have a pair, you can purchase them at the studio. Water bottle (hydration is key).

  2. Do I need to book in advance?

Yes! We require all clients to reserve a spot in advance as class sizes are limited. You can book through our website or mobile app. For waitlist classes, if you’re on the waitlist and hoping for a no-show, you may show up to class in the chance someone doesn't show up and you can take their machine.

  3. I’m running late - can I still take class?

We have a 5-minute grace period after class starts. However, if you miss the warm-up, you may not be allowed in for safety reasons, and your session will be forfeited to the waitlist and you’ll be marked as a no-show.

Class Structure and Experience

  1. What type of exercises should I expect?

Each class follows a structured flow, targeting strength, endurance, and mobility. You can expect a mix of: core work, lunges & squats, upper body strength exercises, jump board movements, slow, strolled reps with resistance, and compound exercises. Every class is different, but all focus on time under tension to create lasting strength and definition.

  2. How often should I take class?

That’s up to you! Our workouts are designed to be safe for daily movement, with some clients attending 3–5 times per week or daily.

  3. Will I be sore after class?

Probably! Bungalow Pilates targets muscles in a slow, controlled way that creates deep muscle engagement. Expect some soreness, especially after your first few classes—this is a sign of progress!

Memberships & Pricing

  1. What’s the difference between a Class Pack and a Membership?

Class Packs are a flexible option—you pay upfront and use the classes as you go. Memberships are monthly recurring plans that allow for a more consistent practice (and better pricing!).

  2. Do class packs expire?

Yes. All class packs and intro offers have an expiration date, which you can find in the Pricing section of our website.

  3. Can I cancel or pause my founding membership?

Founding memberships require a 3-month minimum commitment, but you can cancel or pause after that with at least 7 days' notice before your next billing cycle.

Studio Policies

  1. Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 12 hours before class to avoid losing the session or incurring a no-show fee.

  2. What happens if I don’t show up for class?

No-shows and late cancellations will result in a forfeited class credit or a fee for unlimited members.

  3. Can I take class if I’m pregnant?

We recommend consulting your doctor first. Many movements can be modified for pregnancy, so let your instructor know beforehand, and we’ll ensure a safe and supportive workout.

Private & Group Sessions

  1. Do you offer private training?

Yes! Private sessions are available for $100 per class and are a great way to receive personalized guidance. We also offer small group sessions—perfect for special events or team workouts.

  2. How do I book a private session?

Fill out the inquiry form on our Private & Group Sessions page, and we’ll reach out to coordinate the details!

Studio Amenities

  1. Do you have showers?

At this time, we do not offer showers, but we provide a comfortable space to freshen up post-class.

  2. Is there parking available?

Yes, there is a full free parking lot surrounding the studio. Bonus: we’re located right next to Mom’s Organic Market if you’re looking for pre or post class fuel.
